Baku. Etibar Mammadov – APA. The Baku Mayor’s Office has responded to the appeal of a group of young people on holding a protest.
Chairman of the Musavat Party’s Youth Organization Ahliman Abbas told APA that the Baku Mayor’s Office has refused to allocate a place for the protest.
According to him, in its response, the executive power says it’s unclear which political party, social organization or union the signers of the application represent, and this is likely to cause problems to the protection of order.
As for what further actions to take, Ahliman Abbas said they will make their final decision after discussions.
The Musavat Party, the Azerbaijani Popular Front Party, the Civic Solidarity Party, NIDA Civic Movement, the Free Youth Organization, and REAL Movement had previously appealed to the Baku Mayor’s Office with the slogan of “Freedom to Political Prisoner” in order to hold a protest on May 18 at Mehsul stadium in Baku’s Yasamal district.
