The Head of State first inspected the construction underway at the intersection of Ziya Bunyadov avenue and Muzaffar Narimanov street. Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov informed President about the work done. It was said that in accordance with the Action Plan on improving transport system in Baku, under the project on restructuring Ziya Bunyadov avenue, 10km-long 10-lane highway is being built in line with the modern standards. 5 road junctions, 4 overpasses and 2 pedestrian underpasses are also being constructed in accordance with the project.
The first road junction at the intersection of Ziya Bunyadov avenue and Muzaffar Narimanov street consists of the roads ensuring roundabout movement and U-turn of vehicles through and on the tunnel. The total length of the tunnel is 780m, the length of its closed part is 300m. The width of the six-lane road is approximately 27m. The tunnel will ensure unhampered, intensive movement of vehicles along Ziya Bunyadov avenue in the direction of Boyukshor and 20 Yanvar circle. Motor roads constructed on the tunnel will ensure roundabout movement, U-turn of vehicles, movement of vehicles to and from Heydar Aliyev avenue through Muzaffar Narimanov street.
Following this, President Ilham Aliyev came to the place, where multi-level road junction is under construction at the intersection of Ziya Bunyadov avenue and Ahmad Rajabli street. The Head of State was informed about the work underway.
It was said that the length of the road junction together with the entrances is 600m. 328m-long bridge has six lanes. An overpass has also been built near the bridge to facilitate the movement of pedestrians. It was noted that as the road in this part of the city was narrow, it created obstacles for intensive movement and caused traffic jams. The new road and the bridges built along the road will ensure unhampered movement of automobiles, create conditions for intensive movement of vehicles in various micro districts, especially in the direction of Binagadi district.
Following this, Ilham Aliyev inspected the progress of construction of road junction in Khutor circle at the intersection of Ziya Bunyadov avenue and Abdulvahab Salamzadeh, Ali Mustafayev and Huseynbala Aliyev streets.
The Head of State was told that three tunnels, a bridge and two pedestrian underpasses are being constructed at the road junction. It was noted that with the road junction inaugurated, the automobiles will freely move from Ziya Bunyadov avenue to 20 Yanvar circle and Galaba square. Moreover, the road junction will ensure access of vehicles from 20 Yanvar circle and Galaba square to Ziya Bunyadov avenue. The bridge will ensure free movement of automobiles from Abdulvahab Salamzadeh street to Rashid Mammadov street and in the opposite direction
Having inspected the construction works, President gave relevant instructions.

APA reports that the construction of road junctions in Ziya Bunyadov avenue are being implemented within the Action Plan for improving the transport system in Baku.
