Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. “The inauguration ceremony of the Azerbaijani President is an internal event of our country. In general, we have no experience to invite foreign guests to this event. Therefore, no guest has been invited from foreign countries to today’s inauguration ceremony,” said Azerbaijani President’s Press Secretary Azer Gasimov told APA when asked why guests from foreign countries have not participated in today’s inauguration ceremony and the event has been organized modestly.

Gasimov underlined that President Ilham Aliyev always supports holding state-level events and other ceremonies modestly: “In his speeches and statements, the President has repeatedly demanded state officials to hold various events, including birthdays, jubilees and other ceremonies modestly without luxury. The facts that the Head of State meets with ordinary people, concerns himself with the problems and cares of ordinary citizens during his visits to the regions and other facts demonstrate modesty of the Azerbaijani President. The facts that President Ilham Aliyev marked his 50th jubilee together with IDPs in Agjabadi and his previous birthday with families of martyrs and war veterans in Sumgayit are also similar examples. Today’s modest ceremony proves these views once again.”
