The main conditions to maintain stability are unity between the people and authorities, people’s support and confidence in our activities. These are the main factors of stability. Domestic situation is stable,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the conference on the implementation of "State Program on socio-economic development of Azerbaijan's regions for 2009-2013" on February 5, APA reports.
The Head of State said that external pressures are useless: “Activities of some venal opposition groups are useless. Those who want to offend us are abasing themselves. The recent presidential election showed it. The vast majority of people didn’t take part in their campaign. The people have voted for the reality, the person who they believe in. Therefore, those getting donations from abroad, selling their conscience to foreigners can not have a say in Azerbaijan's policy. The recent election was the end of the opposition. It was the peak of their disgrace.”
