Musavat Party is fulfilling this condition. If it isn’t so, they can explain why they left the National Council. They had said that they would leave the Council referring the honorary chairmanship of Rustam Ibrahimbeyov so far, but they made the same decision after Rustam Ibrahimbeyov resigned from chairmanship. All of these are pretexts, they aimed at holding separate negotiations with the authorities to break the unity of the opposition in exchange for special corporate interests,” Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Popular Front Party (APFP) Fuad Gahramanli told APA while commenting on Musavat Party’s decision to leave the National Council.
Fuad Gahramanli said the decision of Musavat Party causes regret. According to him, Musavat Party’s decision to leave the National Council shows what the party has said up to now has been pretext.
“So, there are goals related to Musavat leadership. It means the change of Musavat’s political course. The National Council functioned as the unity of real opposition. Musavat’s decision to leave the council can be regarded as the decision connected with pragmatic and corporate interests of Musavat’s leadership. I think this decision will cause discontent not only in the society, but also inside Musavat,” he said.
Gahramanli said the National Council will not weaken. “Musavat has recently been engaged in the campaign against the National Council. After the force carrying out campaign against the National Council leaves, the Council will function seriously without internal problems,” he said.
