Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva, and head of the Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva visited the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, where they closely observed the creative activities of individuals from vulnerable social, APA reports.

The DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, established in 2021 on the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, is recognized as the first and largest inclusive creativity and development hub in the South Caucasus.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev provided comprehensive information about the Center. He noted that the facility organizes various trainings and workshops aimed at developing the skills of people with disabilities, family members of martyrs, and other socially vulnerable groups. Additionally, beneficiaries receive rehabilitation services designed to provide socio-psychological support. The minister highlighted that since its opening, the Center has hosted more than 120 events. To date, over 700 individuals have benefited from services provided both at the main Center and at its “DOST Evi” branches in Ismayilli and Barda. Presently, approximately 200 beneficiaries are participating in specialized training programs designed to enhance their personal and professional abilities. It was also emphasized that the beneficiaries’ handicrafts have been exhibited at various international events, including at the "Art Pavilion" in the Green Zone of COP29, attracting significant public interest.

During their visit, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva observed the work of trainers and beneficiaries in pottery, carpet weaving, and visual arts workshops. Later, a special composition created by a trainer with a disability — featuring traditional Iravan and Karabakh Chelebi carpet motifs — was showcased in honor of "Carpet Weaver's Day," celebrated on May 5.

As part of the program, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva also attended performances by residents of the Social Service Institution No. 2 for persons under 18 with disabilities, along with an inclusive concert program presented by the Center’s trainers and beneficiaries.

The event concluded with a tree-planting initiative in the Center’s courtyard, held with the participation of IDEA volunteer.
