Azerbaijani President issues order on measures for prospective development of Baku Metro

Baku-APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to take proper measures on prospective development of Baku Metro, the Presidentâ€™s Press Service told APA.
The Cabinet was instructed to prepare and submit 20-year State Development Program of Baku Metro within six months taking directions and numbers of those, who use metro and expansion of territories, where people densely settled into account.
The State Program should take main plan of Baku and settlement of population into account and transport means should be coordinated, international experience should be used, new main scheme of Baku Metro should be ensured, several networks should be improved basing on examination of technical condition of current metro network, proper reconstruction should be carried out, proposals should be presented for improvement of material technical supply of Baku Metro, local and international experienced experts, specialists, should be involved in this field.
The Ministry of Finance was given a task to allocate AZN 2 million from the Presidentâ€™s Reserve Fund to ensure preparation of 20-year State Development Program of Baku Metro.
