Azerbaijanâ€™s President familiarizes himself with overhauled and reconstructed buildings of Artistsâ€™ Union and Writersâ€™ Union

Baku â€“ APA. On October 28, Azerbaijanâ€™s President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the building of the Artistsâ€™ Union after overhaul and reconstruction. Presidentâ€™s press service told APA that the Artistsâ€™ Union is located on the ground floor of the building constructed in 1926. Exhibition hall named after Vajiha Samadova is also located in the same building.

The building had not been overhauled or reconstructed. Under the presidentâ€™s order, complete overhaul began in the building in March last year.

Chairman of the artistsâ€™ Union Farhad Khalilov informed the President about the work done. The head of state was satisfied with the overhaul and reconstruction.

President also familiarized himself with the overhauled and reconstructed building of the Writersâ€™ Union. The building was constructed in 1915 and had not been overhauled before. Major overhaul began under the presidentâ€™s order in March, 2007.

Chairman of the Writersâ€™ Union Anar informed the President about the overhaul and reconstruction. Following this, the head of state acquainted with the separate rooms and working conditions, viewed the room once owned by peopleâ€™s poet Samad Vurgun.

President Ilham Aliyev gave relevant instructions to supply the building with necessary equipment.
