Parliament’s Standing Commission on Security and Defense Issues holds meeting

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. The Parliament’s Standing Commission on Security and Defense Issues has today held a meeting. The issue on amending some legislative acts for regulating allocation of municipal land plots by auctions or through competitions was discussed, the Parliament’s Press Service told APA. Speaker of the Parliament Ziyafat Asgarov said it was offered to make annexes to the law on “The status of servicemen” and “Statute of military service”.

Ziyafat Asgarov said that the articles covering the right of men serving in Azerbaijani Armed Forces for 15 years, living in service flats, not having houses, reserve servicemen to get free land plots were being specified. It is offered to add the words “for construction of individual house” to these articles.

The parliamentarians said there were some difficulties in regulating the process and the
problem would be solved after the annexes and amendments.

The annexes and amendments were recommended for discussion in the parliament’s meeting.
