Azerbaijani President attends the inauguration of Gala Archaeological-Ethnographic Museum Complex

Baku-APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of Gala Archaeologicalâ€“Ethnographic Museum Complex on October 10, the Presidentâ€™s Press Service told APA.
The President cut symbolic red ribbon. New project carried out on the initiative of MP Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation will serve to protect the historical times of Azerbaijan and will become one of the touristic centers. Gala State Historical Ethnographic Reservation was established in 1998. The reservation covers 156 hectares and includes burial mounds, tombs, dwelling houses, 4 reservoirs, rests of ancient castle, 5 mosques, 3 bathrooms, which belong from BC III millennium to XX century.
First archaeological-ethnographic museum was established with the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in an open air to enrich and protect these monuments. Museum complex covers two hectares of area and was found in Absheron peninsula and pictures on the rock, tambourine, ceramics, jewelries and home things, arms and coins, the rests of ancient dwelling house were allocated there.
The President and his spouse got acquainted with the museum complex closely. Afterwards, the President met and talk to residents of the settlement.
