Azerbaijani President receives representatives of 4th Session of Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Baku-APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has received representatives of the 4th Session of Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research today, the Presidentâ€™s Press Service told APA.
The President spoke about the importance of the conference and noted that the event would serve for consolidation between Islamic states.
â€œAzerbaijan pays much attention on education. Education takes second place for allocation of state budget and Azerbaijan will increase attention to this field while economic opportunities will increaseâ€, he said.
The Head of State stressed that Azerbaijani occupied lands were under control of Armenia for a long tome and added that Azerbaijan had about one million refugees and IDPs.
â€œIt has bad influence on the development of the country, but there are modern schools in settlements of refugees. These modern schools have been computerized. 29 pupils share one computer in comparison with several years ago. Azerbaijan pays munch attention to education of students abroad and education is one of the priorities of Azerbaijanâ€, he said.
Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, Director General of ISESCO highly assessed the conference in Baku and stressed that Islamic states and ISESCO were aware of the development in Azerbaijan. He stated that there was a big progress on education and spoke about successful policy of the sate on education.
