Parliamentarians offer to give places allotted for Musavat in CEC to other parties

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. Addressing the autumn session of Azerbaijani Parliament the parliamentarians shared their views on the presidential elections and a number of other issues. MP Fazil Gazanfaroglu said there was a need to approve new law on political parties in Azerbaijan. The parliamentarian offered to give two places allotted for Musavat Party in Central Election Commission (CEC) to other parties. MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev also underlined that two empty places in CEC should be given to other parties.

Gudrat Hasanguliyev noted that YAP did not provide equal opportunities for all parties in the elections. The parliamentarian said airtime was not allotted to the presidential candidates equally. He said that AzTV did not give any information about the elections.

MP Sayavush Novruzov said the election campaign was normal, laws were obeyed and equal opportunities were offered to everybody. Novruzov said YAP’s candidate hgad no alternative and called on the other candidates to make efforts to overcome 3-percent barrier in the elections.
“They should overcome 3-percent barrier in order not to face difficulties in returning the money allocated for them by the state,” he said.
