President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev begins visit to western regions of the country – <font color=red>UPDATED  </font>

The President also participated in the opening ceremony of the diagnostic center built in line with modern standards. Then the President visited Aghstafa Region, APA western bureau reports. The President attended the opening ceremony of the stitching factory constructed by Accord-Inshaat-Sanaye Joint-Stock Company. The President emphasized that this factory was one of the largest stitching enterprises in the republic and said that new production enterprises had special importance for the regional development and played significant role in the population’s employment. The three-unit stitching factory was provided with the Germany- and Turkey-made equipments. It considers production of sport, military, children and women clothes, as well as suits and shirts. The factory’s production will be 80 thousand clothes a month. 1000 workers were involved in the first phase of the new factory’s work. It will be extended to 1500 workers in the further phases. Hostel and dining-hall were also constructed in the factory.
Then the head of state attended the opening ceremony of Heydar Aliyev Museum in the center of Aghstafa and left the region for Tovuz. The President will attend the opening of Tovuz Fortress monumental complex and take interest in the construction of National Olympic Complex in the region.
The President also scheduled to visit Gandja on Wednesday. The head of state will visit Heydar Aliyev Square, Shah Abbas Mosque and Heydar Aliyev monument in Ganja and will join the inauguration of new diagnosis center in the city.
