Baku-APA. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today received sportsmen and head coaches, who participated in the 13th Beijing Paralympic Games, APA reports.
The President congratulated them on victory gained during Beijing Paralympic Games.
“Our participants of Beijing Paralympic Games have gained 10 medals in the history of Azerbaijan for the first time. 2 of them are gold, three are silver and five are bronze medals. This is very big success and victory,†he said.
The President added that new opportunities were made for doing sport in the country and several sport complexes would be opened.
Sportsmen and their head coaches were awarded by the President.
