Ziyafat Asgarov says no need for a new format in Nagorno Karabakh solution

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev –APA. “I don’t suppose that the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict needs in a new format. We can’t achieve the results acceptable for us from the OSCE Minsk Group’s activity, but changing the format will cause loss of time. The current format should continue for the presentâ€, First Vice Speaker of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (parliament) Ziyafat Asgarov told journalists, APA reports. He said it was important to base on the norms and principles of the international law in the settlement of the conflict. “The mediators of its own accord, but the main issue will depend on Armenia. Will Armenia realize for itself at last that continuation of the conflict has no any prospect for this country?!â€
Ziyafat Asgarov said the peace talks were continued, but he didn’t rule out that if the talks didn’t bring results, Azerbaijan would liberate its lands by the ways allowed by the UN Charter.
Touching upon the resignation of Armenian parliament speaker, Asgarov said this country would face with the internal tensions as long as it provided injustice policy. “They have to grow wiser and to come to an understanding with their neighbors. Armenians have to withdraw from the occupied Azerbaijani lands to live normallyâ€.
