Azerbaijan’s President visits Sumgayit
The complex includes 130-man assembly hall, gym, hand games hall, big and small shooting halls, open football and volleyball playgrounds, close swimming pool. Modern elevators, automatic swimming pool cleaners, disinfecting and heating devices have been installed in the center. Necessary conditions have been created for the disabled persons in the complex. Trees and flowers have been planted, lighting system has been installed. A modern hotel will be built near the complex.

The head of state participated in the opening ceremony of 36-flat building constructed for the veterans of Karabakh war, martyrs’ families and disabled persons of Chernobyl accident. The building has been constructed by order of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population. There is a special entry for the disabled persons in the building, each flat has been provided with furniture and other home appliances. Each family was given a TV set and a refrigerator on behalf of Azerbaijani President.
The building has been supplied with gas, electricity, water, telephone, has central heating system and fire alarm. The President presented documents of new flats to the residents and acquainted with the building.
5 of the flats have been allotted for martyrs’ families, 29 for the veterans of Karabakh war and 2 for the disabled persons of Chernobyl accident.
Azerbaijani President also visited reconstructed culture and amusement park named after Nasimi in Sumgayit. Under the president’s order, the park, where “Dove†monument is based, has been reconstructed. The park has been paved, decorative flowers and bushes have been planted, modern lighting system has been installed, there is a foamy fountain in the park.
Following this, the head of state came to the territory at the intersection of Sulh and Baki streets in Sumgayit. The President was told that the park had been reconstructed, fountain constructed and trees had been planted.
