Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. “Armenians try to create a fortress for themselves from the confrontations in South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Against the background of these happenings they say there is turmoil in Azerbaijan,” head of the Center for political Innovation and Technologies, political scientist Mubariz Ahmadoglu said, APA reports. Ahmadoglu said Armenia’s analytical centers make such statements and noted that they introduce the processes as they wish.
“Armenians consider that Azerbaijan will stand still fearing of the recent developments. They try to frighten Azerbaijan with Russia. All this shows that after the collapse of the USSR Armenians established an outpost, not an independent state. That’s why Armenia has two choices. First is their close relationship with Russia, because Armenia fails to be an independent state. The other variant is to open borders with Turkey and improve the relations. In both variants Armenians should release Nagorno Karabakh. If they are clever, they should return Nagorno Karabakh, because the recent developments accelerate the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict,” he said.
Mubariz Ahmadoglu also shared his views on Russia’s interference in Georgia.
“Up to now there has been only one state showing its power in the territory of another state without the decision of the UN Security Council, it was the US. Now Russia has joined the US, and the number of such states reached two,” he said.
The political scientist called Georgian leadership incompetent and noted that the US did not give necessary support to Georgia.
