Azerbaijan’s National Security Minister receives Director of Romanian Foreign Intelligence Service

Baku – APA. Director of Romanian Foreign Intelligence Service Mihai Razvan Ungureanu has today arrived in Azerbaijan at the invitation of Azerbaijan’s National Security Minister, Lieutenant-General Eldar Mahmudov. National Security Ministry’s press service told APA that Eldar MAhmudov and a group of officials of the ministry visited Heydar Aliyev’s grave in Honor Alley and Martyrs’ Alley. Following this, Eldar Mahmudov received Mihai Razvan Ungureanu.

The meeting focused on the activities carried out in combating transnational organized crimes and terrorism, prospects of development of business and efficient cooperation between the intelligence bodies of the two countries.

The minister briefed the visitor about the activities carried out in Azerbaijan in terms of security problems, complications caused by Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.

Mihai Razvan Ungureanu expressed his satisfaction with the development of the relations between the two countries, as well as the relevant bodies and expressed his confidence that the meetings would contribute to the relations between the countries.
