Baku hosts seminar of NATO/PfP Trust Fund

Presentation of projects carried out with support of PfP Trust Fund is going to be held during two-day seminar attended by representatives of NATO member countries. Robert Simmons, NATOâ€™s first ever Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia addressing the event stated that Trust Fund had financed many projects on unexploded ordnance and neutralization of mines.
â€œTwo of them have been carried out in Azerbaijan. Many mined areas have been cleared in Azerbaijan with the support of NATO and this is great successâ€, he said.
Nazim Ismayilov, ANAMA Director General noted that Seminar of Trust Fund had been held in Azerbaijan after the US and Luxembourg. Ismayilov expressed his confidence that the seminar would play a great role in further expansion of relations.
The event envisages various projects, trainings on military personnel.
