Tamara Grigoryeva-APA. “Forthcoming presidential election is very important and we believe that this election will be a good opportunity for the development of democratic processes both in Azerbaijan and in other countries,†Jean-François Bureau, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy told journalists, APA reports. Jean-François Bureau said that he was aware of Azerbaijan’s improvements on the way to democratization. NATO Assistant Secretary General also underlined the importance of ensuring freedom of media.
“Freedom of media is the main element of democratic processes in any country, as well as Azerbaijan,†he said.
Jean-François Bureau considers that there is work to be done to achieve progress on the eve of the elections.
