YAP sends protest letter on inclusion of false Armenian genocide in the program of seminar titled â€œGenocides of XX and XXI centuriesâ€?

A seminar on the topic â€œGenocide of XX and XXI centuriesâ€? will be North Park in Chicago on Feb 24. Lectures on the genocides in Holocaust, Assyrians, and Rwanda will be heard in the seminar. The false Armenian genocide was also included in the program of seminar. New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) has sent a protest letter in connection with the issue, YAP press service told APA.
The inclusion of false Armenian genocide in the program shadows the objectivity and scientific essence of the lectures.
â€œNotion of â€œArmenian genocideâ€? is a tale of Armenian Diaspora living abroad in middle of XX century. It has no historical base. So the discussion of â€œArmenian genocideâ€? is nothing but a support to Armenians who want to benefit this show as an instrument of propaganda. While talking about massacres for national background, Armeniansâ€™ crimes against Azerbaijanis through many years should be shown. There are enough evidences to prove genocides committed by Armenians against Azeri people. It is not necessary to go past to last centuries. Our genocide was committed in front of the eyes of this generation. Armenians began a large-scaled aggression to Azerbaijani territories at the end of 1980s to invade Nagorno Karabakh, historic land of Azerbaijan in result of which 20% of territories were occupied, 20.000 Azeribaijanis were killed and over 100.000 were wounded and became disabledâ€?, the letter reads.
YAP also sent photo-materials of Khijali truth to the organizers of the seminar. /APA/
