Nureddin Aras: We will try to strongly publicize Khojali genocide in European community

Nureddin Aras left for the Hague to organize the conference on the 15th anniversary of the Khojali genocide.
“We will have an opportunity to inform Europe of real truths on the Khojali genocide. Armenians raise genocide claims everywhere. Turks never attacked defenseless people, on the contrary Turks always protected them even if they were guilty. Armenians were called loyal people and were always protected during Ottoman Empire. They managed to get the highest posts during the Ottoman reign. Ottoman state provided all conditions for Armenians’ for religion, language and culture. But when Ottoman state weakened Armenians like other nations betrayed the state. People of Igdir witnessed Armenian savagery both in 1918 and 1932, he said.
Nureddin Aras said that it will not be difficult to prove that Armenian genocide claims are groundless.
“They say, the Ottoman state killed 1,5 million Armenians. 15 million people lived in the Ottoman state at that time. How could 1,5 million of them be Armenians? There are no 1,5 million people in Armenia even now. How could they say that 1,5 million Armenians were killed at the beginning of the century? It is nonsense. Armenians devise various pretexts to have comfortable place in the international arena. Regrettably, we could not prove to the world community that we are right. Azerbaijani and Turkish Diasporas should do their best for this. Otherwise, we will face hard claims, he said.
Nureddin Aras said that some forces divert the Turkish people.
“Today when everyone in Turkey speaks of North Iraq, Kerkuk and Mosul suddenly Hrant Dink’s assassination happens. This is not an ordinary crime. It has made a stir in the world and in Turkey. Everyone knows that the murder does not favor Turkey. We will try to publicize the real nature of Khojali genocide. Armenians committed a number of crimes, genocides through the history. We will try to inform the European community of these crimes, he said. /APA/
