Mubariz Gurbanli: President Ilham Aliyev gave special instructions to investigate the killing of seven servicemen

Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. â€œThere is no need for Defense Minister to report to the parliament,â€ Azerbaijani parliamentarian, deputy executive secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Mubariz Gurbanli told journalists, APA reports. He said President Ilham Aliyev gave special instructions to investigate the killing of seven servicemen in the Defense Ministryâ€™s military unit.
â€œAn investigation group has been set up to investigate the incident and give information to the public and President. The commander of the military unit was discussed. It makes us sad. But our state and people always pay and will pay attention to the army,â€ he said.
Mubariz Gurbanli condemned attempts of some persons to take advantage of the situation.
â€œIn most countries armies are in the barracks. But in connection with Armeniaâ€™s aggression our army is serving on the trench. There is a difference here and it should be taken into consideration. Nobody should take advantage of the situation. The army belongs to us and our nation,â€ he said.

Commenting on the proposals that Defense Minister Safar Abiyev should report to the parliament, Mubariz Gurbanli said the Constitution contains rules on the status of the parliament.
â€œDefense Minister reports to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Defense Ministry correspondingly gives reports to the parliament,â€ he said.
