On 25-26 September, the 12th Conference of Ministers of Culture in Islamic World began in Doha city of Qatar and a delegation led by Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli has paid a visit to Doha on 25 September to attend the event, the Ministry told APA.
Adil Karimli has participated in the opening ceremony of the 12th Conference centered around the theme “Toward renewing cultural action in the Islamic world”.
This year's event will discuss issues such as the main principles of cultural policy and indicators of sustainable development, mechanisms for developing the " Capital of Culture in the Islamic World" program, and the expansion of joint cultural activities in the areas of combating the illegal circulation of cultural resources.
The conference will also include consideration of the nomination document submitted by Azerbaijan regarding the declaration of the city of Shusha, one of Azerbaijan's cradles of speech and art, as the "Capital of Culture in the Islamic World" for 2024, as well as a speech and presentation about Shusha.
