"On September 12, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov participated in the opening of a carpet exhibition featuring works by Azerbaijani artist Faig Ahmad at the United Nations Office in Geneva, as part of his official visit to the Swiss Confederation, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said, APA reports.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), Tatyana Valovaya, along with officials from international organizations in Geneva and ambassadors from foreign countries present in the city.
Delivering the opening speech at the event, Tatyana Valovaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), emphasized that the exhibition provides an opportunity for a closer acquaintance with Azerbaijan's rich culture and the art of carpet weaving.
The exhibition, which consists of numerous works and installations, including carpets that hold a significant place in the artist's creativity, will be open to visitors to the UN office for 12 days.
