Deputy Minister: Construction of Gandja State Philharmonic Society will begin after the decision of the government

Gandja. Nazakat Mashadialigizi â€“ APA. Estimate documents of the new philharmonic society that will be build in Gandja are ready. AZN 16 million has been allotted for the construction from the budget. APAâ€™s west bureau reports that the new building will consist of three storeys. The will have 900-seat concert hall. Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Adalat Valiyev, who visited Gandja yesterday, told APAâ€™s local bureau that the new building of Gandja State Philharmonic Society will be used as a cultural center. Cinema, theater, concerts will be available in the new building. Deputy Minister hopes that the construction will begin soon.
â€œDocuments are ready. The construction will begin as soon as the government passes a decision,â€ he said.
As reconstruction of Gandja State Philharmonic Society and Baku Cinema was impossible, it was decided to construct a new building instead of two cultural establishments. The present Philharmonic Society is located on the bank of Gandja river, water damaged its walls, wooden floor and destroyed stairs. AZN 16 million was allotted for the construction of the new Philharmonic Society in 2007.
