Arash: “I have composed “Always†especially for Ayselâ€
“I read on the Internet that Azerbaijan was choosing a song. Within a day I completed the song that I had been working on for a long time. I did not only realize for whom the song was written. I understood everything when I saw Aysel’s photos! So, I have composed “Always†especially for Aysel. Why did I participate in the competition? I am from Azerbaijan by origin, that’s why I wanted to participate in the process of the country’s going down the history of Eurovision. I regret that I missed the opportunity to participate in the selection rounds for representing Azerbaijan. I am not only an author and composer, but also a singer. I would like to be on the stage of Eurovision, not backstage,†he said.
Arash is the famous singer and composer of Europe, he is the author of “Pure loveâ€, “Donyaâ€, “Boro boroâ€.
ITV had received a total of 30 songs by local and foreign composers. The process of selection was very tense. The jury said there were a lot of valuable songs. Representatives of Azerbaijani culture Ismayil Omarov, Farhad Bedelbeyli, Murad Adigozalzadeh, Lala Kazimova and others in the seven-member expert jury chose “Alwaysâ€. Murad Adigozalzadeh said the best song for Aysel had bee presented by Arash.
“Always is the song we wanted. This is the hit of Eurovision. We are sure that this interesting song will become hit of Europe. We are satisfied with the song choice and not it is high time to prepare a splendid show,†he said.
Aysel Teymurzadeh, 19, who will represent Azerbaijan in Eurovision 2009, also expressed her views on the song.
“To tell the truth, I was surprised to hear that Arash had presented a song. Of course, I have already listened to the song, but I can not assess it. I should realize how the song will be performed in the final. So, I am awaiting the sound recording and the final version of the song,†she said.
