“Chinar” dance group represented Azerbaijan in “Friends’ festival” in St. Petersburg -  <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION </font>

APA’s correspondent reports from St. Petersburg that the aim of the project is to establish mutual understanding in the society, strengthen tolerance among the youth and form tolerant attitude towards various ethnic groups living in Petersburg. Representatives of Chinese, Polish, Georgian, Armenian, Latish, Lezgin, Bahskir and other nations participated in the festival. “Chinar” dance group of Azerbaijan Consulate General in St. Petersburg represented Azerbaijan in the festival. They performed “Yalli”. The dance group was awarded and given valuable presents.

“Chinar” dance group was established in 1998. Head of the group is teacher of St. Petersburg State University Kheyransa Mirzayeva. Over 80 Azerbaijanis aged 4-18 learn Azerbaijani dances under Mirzayeva’s leadership, represent Azerbaijan in cultural events held in the region.
