Abulfas Garayev: “If Armenian minister of culture came to Baku, we would guarantee his securityâ€

Victoria Dementyeva–APA. “If Armenian minister of culture participated in the Baku Conference, we would guarantee his securityâ€, said minister of culture and tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev at the press conference dedicated to the results of Council of Europe Conference of the Ministers responsible for Culture on the “Intercultural dialogue as a basis for peace and sustainable development in Europe and its neighboring regionsâ€. The minister said they waited for Armenia’s reply until the last day. He said Azerbaijan provided all participants with equal opportunities and guaranteed their security. Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Director General of Education, Culture and Heritage, Youth and Sport proved the Garayev’s statement and said they discussed this issue several months ago in Yerevan with the ministers of foreign affairs and culture of Armenia and told them that their security would be guaranteed. Battaini-Dragoni said Azerbaijan and Armenia were also participants of Kiev initiative. She said she hoped that the two sides would come together within this initiative.
