The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway line has been commissioned, APA’s local bureau reports.
The launch button marking the commissioning of the railway was pressed by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, and Türkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu.

An official ceremony is being held at the Akhalkalaki station in Georgia to mark the commissioning of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line following its modernization, APA's local bureau reports.
The event is attended by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, and other officials.
Azerbaijan is represented at the ceremony by Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev and Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Rovshan Rustamov.
Note that the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line was put into operation in test mode for freight transportation on October 30, 2017.
