"We are cooperating with the Azerbaijan International Finance Corporation in the direction of preparing the Green Construction Roadmap," Anar Guliyev, the Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, said during a High-Level Roundtable 1: Green Construction, Energy Efficiency in Buildings and Climate Resilience in Cities at COP29, APA reports.
This roadmap represents a critical step in the integration of sustainability into our urban development processes.
"The roadmap will define practical, actionable strategies for adopting green building standards, energy-efficient construction practices, and the use of environmentally responsible construction materials. Additionally, the roadmap will provide guidance for both public and private sector stakeholders to align Azerbaijan's urban construction efforts with global sustainability goals," Guliyev added.
