Within the framework of COP29, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy (BOEMDA), Clean Energy Invest LLC and Baltech Green LLC on the development of the Kalbajar Wind Power Plant, APA reports.
This project is a unique project to be implemented at an altitude of 3100 meters. Clean Energy Invest LLC and Baltech Green LLC will establish a joint venture within the project and will soon begin measurement campaigns and project preparations.
The wind power plant is expected to start commercial operations in early 2028 with a capacity of 200-240 MW. Thanks to the unique conditions created by the altitude of the area, there is potential to increase the total capacity of the project to 600 MW in the future.
