"We highly appreciate Australia's allocation of $32.5 million to the activities of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage," COP29 Lead Negotiator, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev said this at a press conference of the COP29 Presidency, APA reports.

He added that the parties have met many times so far in the discussions on the New Collective Quantitative Target: "We thank the parties for their determination to reach a final agreement. I believe it is time to make commitments. We are already working on a global adaptation target, a new collective quantitative target and an agreement with the UAE. Half of these documents will be unveiled tonight. Because the work on the texts has not yet been finalized. The parties need to discuss the most complex issues, identify various solutions and proposals. As a result of the decisions made here, they will be ready to move from the first decade of the Paris Climate Agreement to the second decade."
