Moscow has faced its largest wave of restaurant and bar closures since the pandemic, APA reports.
In January of this year alone, 45 popular establishments were closed in the capital, including "Dorogaya, Ya Ya Rezvyomu", Smoke BBQ, The Toy, Mimi, Beerside and "Valenok".
Experts estimate that at least 465 establishments may close by 2026. This trend has been noticeable since the end of 2025: chains have begun to reduce their activities - Shokoladnitsa closed about 20 locations, Rostiks 25 restaurants and Yakitoriya 8 restaurants.
The main reason is the decline in consumer demand.
