Rashad Suleymanov – APA. “The modernized S-300 air-craft missile complexes, which are used by Azerbaijani Army, are included in the arsenal of very few countries,” said commander of Azerbaijan’s Air Defense Forces Altay Mehdiyev addressing the event at the military unit of the Air Defense Forces with the participation of MPs and journalists, APA reports.
Mehdiyev said that this system has high precision: “Precision in relation to each target is 99%. S300 complexes have also included in Armenia’s arsenal. But those missiles have been removed from Russia’s inventory. They are outdated and for their performance lag behind those in Azerbaijan. Today, Azerbaijan has the strongest air defense system in the region.”
