Jeyhun Bayramov congratulates Kyrgyzstan on election as non-permanent UNSC member

A phone conversation took place on June 4 between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev, Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

During the phone call, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov sincerely congratulated Kyrgyzstan on its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) by an overwhelming majority vote.

The sides emphasized the importance of mutual support between the two countries in regional and multilateral platforms, including within the framework of the UN Security Council.

Expressing satisfaction with the current level of strategic partnership between the two countries, the ministers discussed opportunities for further development of cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian and other fields.

The phone conversation also included an exchange of views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
