United States President Donald Trump reiterated on Thursday that he would be willing to meet with Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei if a deal with Iran is reached, APA reports.
Asked if he thinks that Khamenei would want to meet him after his family was killed in a US-Israeli strike, Trump noted that he would say "that I'm not his favorite person." However, he said he thinks that Iran's supreme leader "is probably a professional," adding that " in some circles, he has a very good reputation."
Additionally, Trump emphasized that he has not suggested a meeting with Khamenei, but "if it happened, I'd be respectful."
