On June 4, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov received Bernard Klingl, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
During the meeting, Ambassador Bernard Klingl presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The minister congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
The sides discussed the prospects for developing the existing friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil. It was emphasized that the intensification of political dialogue, mutual visits and consultations contributes to the further expansion of bilateral relations.
The meeting reviewed opportunities for expanding cooperation in trade, investment, energy, agriculture, tourism, aviation, education, culture, sports, high technologies and other fields. The sides also exchanged views on the activities of the Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil and prospects for cooperation in developing economic ties. The importance of further expanding the legal framework between the two countries was emphasized.
The parties also discussed cooperation within international organizations, including the United Nations, as well as opportunities for interaction in the field of multilateral diplomacy. In this context, the importance of continuing exemplary cooperation on the climate agenda and COP processes was noted.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
