Russia and the United States will sign an agreement on the design of a tunnel crossing the Bering Strait between Chukotka and Alaska, Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin, told journalists at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum about the plans, Russian media reports.
“This will be one of the largest infrastructure projects between our countries,” he said.
Dmitriev added that an agreement on continuing the tunnel design work will be signed tomorrow.
