MFA: Georgia will not participate in upcoming 3+3 format meeting

Georgia will not participate in the upcoming meeting in the 3+3 format, the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) stated, APA's local bureau reports.

It was noted that Georgia's position regarding the format is well known and has been stated repeatedly.

“Georgia has never participated in meetings held within this format,” the MFA said.

It should be noted that the first expert session in the 3+3 format will be held in St. Petersburg on June 5. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated that the doors of the 3+3 format are always open to Georgia. Official Tbilisi considers participation in the format impossible due to the continued occupation of Georgian territories by Russia.
