The Deputy Minister of Defense, Commander of Air Forces General Major Altay Mehdiyev and Head of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Mahammad Beydullaev relieved of their duties. M. Beydullaev in this position was replaced by Colonel Fahreddin Jabrayilov.
Note that F. Jabrayilov was awarded the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan in 1995.
It is also reported on the implementation of structural changes in the Ministry of Defence.
