Baku-APA. At least five children were killed and 27 others wounded on Monday in a renewed mortar attack by the rebels on the Syrian capital of Damascus, the state-TV reported, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The five kids were killed when a mortar shell struck their minibus in the Bab Sharqi district of Damascus, said SANA, as the state TV aired footage of the dead kids while their parents were weeping over their young bodies dressed in school uniforms and smeared with their blood.
Another 16 kids were wounded by another mortar shell which landed at their school in the Qassa neighborhood.
Both districts are inhabited by Syrian Christians, whose largest church in Qassa was hit by mortars Monday, leaving material losses and injuries.
