"In an encounter in the Tangdhar sector, army has killed three militants," N N Joshi, the Indian military spokesman said in a brief statement to press.
"The bodies of slain militant along with their weapons have been recovered," said the spokesman.
However, no independent confirmation could be made about the gunfight in the area, owing to its remoteness.
On Wednesday, an Indian army trooper was killed in a fierce gunfight with militants in the area.
Following the gunfight, the army had rushed in reinforcements to the area from nearby military camps and intensified searchers to trace the militants.
