Baku-APA. At least 10 people were killed and 29 others injured in bombing attacks in the Iraqi capital city Baghdad on Friday, police said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Seven people were killed and 21 others wounded when a car bomb exploded near a popular restaurant in Baghdad's eastern Shiite district of Sader City, a police source told Xinhua.
Another three people were killed and eight others wounded when three bombs exploded in quick succession in Khilani Square in central Baghdad, he added.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Iraq has been witnessing some of the worst violence in years. The UN Assistance Mission for Iraq said on Friday that at least 1, 737 Iraqis were killed and 1,978 others injured in acts of terrorism and violence in July across Iraq, not including casualties in Anbar province.
Terrorism and violence have killed 5,576 civilians in Iraq in the first half of this year, with 11,666 more wounded, according to a recent UN report.
