President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reiterated Türkiye’s ongoing support for Syrians after meeting with Syrian Interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa during the latter’s first official visit to Ankara, APA reports citing Türkiye Today.
“As Türkiye, just as we did not abandon our Syrian brothers and sisters in their most difficult days, we will continue to provide them with necessary support in this new period,” Erdogan said.
He emphasized that Türkiye’s policy towards Syria has always focused on preserving the country’s territorial integrity and unity.
Meanwhile, Erdogan expressed Türkiye’s readiness to provide necessary support to Syria in its fight against terrorist organizations, including Daesh and the PKK.
