Türkiye is deeply concerned about the violence and tension occurring in Israel and Palestine today, said the Turkish Foreign Ministry in a statement, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
Noted that Ankara attaches great importance to the speedy restoration of peace in the region and strongly condemns the loss of civilian population.
"Highlighting that acts of aggression and related escalations will benefit no one, we call on the parties to act cautiously and refrain from impulsive steps. As Türkiye, we are always ready to do our best to control these events before they escalate and spread to a wider area. We continue our intensive contact with the relevant sides in this regard."
It has been added that these events once again show the necessity of the two-state principle: " We call on the parties to refrain from the use of force and to work towards a lasting solution in line with this vision without further delay."
