“We are in control of ISIS members and their families in the camps, which are kept in detention centers that cleaned from terrorists within the framework of Peace Spring operation in accordance with the negotiations of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with US President Donald Trump,” Hami Aksoy the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey (MFA) said while answering to a question about the fate of the arrested ISIS members and their families, APA’s Turkey bureau reports.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that at the current stage, together with countries whose citizens are ISIS members and international organizations, the safety of their wives and children who are not involved in ISIS and crime will be ensured: "On the other hand, it should be known that there are issues of repatriation, judgment, and rehabilitation of foreign terrorist fighters and their families held in Syria. Turkey is ready to support any efforts made by the international community in this regard."
