Syrian Interior Ministry denies reports of fatalities in Damascus minibus blast

Syria's Interior Ministry has denied reports claiming that people were killed in a minibus explosion near the capital, Damascus.

According to a statement published on the ministry's Telegram channel, authorities are continuing their investigation into the blast in the Jaramana area, which left 14 civilians injured.

"The Interior Ministry is continuing its investigation into the explosion in the vicinity of Jaramana, which resulted in injuries to 14 civilians," the statement said.

Officials from Damascus' Health Department also denied reports of fatalities, Syria TV reported.

Earlier, Türkiye's Anadolu Agency, citing law enforcement sources, reported that two people had been killed and 13 others injured in the explosion.

Initial reports said an explosive device planted inside a minibus detonated in the Druze-majority district of Jaramana, causing multiple casualties. Syrian authorities have since rejected claims that the incident resulted in any deaths.
