"Turkiye may change the date of upcoming elections," said Turkish journalist Murat Yetkin referring to Meral Akşener, chairman of the "Iyi" party.
Thus, Murat Yetkin asked Meral Akşener, "Can an earthquake affect the date of the elections?"
She said:" I do not believe the elections will take place on May 14.
"But I think the elections on June 18 will remain," the party chairman added.
Before the earthquake, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the elections would be held on May 14.
