“The chairmanship of Azerbaijan will bring new political revival to NAM and positive achievements will be achieved under the chairmanship of this country,” President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani said at the XVIII Summit of heads of members states and governments of the Non-Aligned Movement which is held in Baku.
He stated that the member countries of the Movement should strengthen general resistance on the basis of “Bandung principles”: “Thanks to this we may be endurable against destructive forces. Currently transboundary terrorist networks creates threats against us. Therefore we should coordinate our relations. We should jointly cooperate to prevent drug trafficking that is major threat to the youth of the countries. We should have political courage. Today the rules of the game seem independent in the international arena, but they are far from Bandung principles.”
A. Ghani stated that he is ready for peace talks: “We are ready for dialogue for sustainable peace by sitting at the same table with our co-operators. We want to provide bright future for our nation, as well as keep friendship relations with the whole world and neighbours.
